This privacy policy explains how Meyer Press (“we”, “us”) collects and uses your personal data when you visit meyerpress.com. We follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Spanish data protection law (LOPDGDD).
Who is responsible for your data

What data we collect
- Newsletter and quiz signups: your first name (if given), email address, and quiz answers or results.
- Messages you send us: your email address and whatever you include in your message.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected by our hosting provider for security and site operation.
- Cookies: see our cookie policy.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To send you the quiz result, free guide and newsletter you asked for (your consent).
- To reply to your messages (our legitimate interest in answering you).
- To keep the site secure and working (our legitimate interest).
- To meet legal obligations, such as keeping records required by law.
Who we share it with
We never sell your personal data. We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf:
- EmailOctopus (UK), which sends email through Amazon Web Services (USA): email newsletter and signup forms.
- Hostinger: website hosting.
- Google (Gmail): email correspondence.
Some providers are based outside the European Economic Area, mainly in the US. Where that happens, transfers are protected by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
Our books and products are sold through an external store. When you buy there, that store’s own privacy policy applies.
How long we keep it
We keep newsletter data until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. We keep messages for as long as needed to deal with your request, and then for up to 2 years unless the law requires longer.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. To use any of these rights, email hello@meyerpress.com.
If you think we have handled your data wrongly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, aepd.es) or the data protection authority where you live.
For readers in the United States
We do not sell or share your personal information for targeted advertising. California residents can ask what data we hold about them and ask us to delete it by emailing hello@meyerpress.com.
Children
This site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
